Ravello is built on a hillock 365 metres above-sea-level, overlooking the sea of the Amalfi Bay with unique breath-taking views. It is considered the jewel of the whole Sorrento promontory. There are famous gardens and buildings like Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone which deserve at least a leisurely visit.
There is the historically important XII Century Cathedral as well as many other important old buildings and mansions. Ravello is widely known as “The City of Music” because of the many interesting musical events which feed the spirit and cheer up the mood of holiday-makers .
